Meet our Youth Pastor and wife:
Mike and Rachell Barksdale
Our little family has now been here at Rome Community Bible Church for two years serving as pastor to students and their families. Rachell and I will have been married for 6 years in June of 2010. We welcomed our first child, Tyson, this past July and wow has our life changed. I can't imagine life without him now.
We came to pastor here not too long after I finished my undergraduate degree in Biblical Literature from Northwest University, where my wife also graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. We both grew up in Washington State and are glad to be enjoying the beauty of this great area.
I love sports. I enjoy playing them, watching them, and obsessing about the Mariners. I love music too, playing guitar and finding new music to listen to. I love my wife, my son and my family. But most of all I really do love God. my life changed the day I realized how much he loved me and now I just try to live my life by responding in love back to him the best way I know how. I am enjoying the journey and I'm getting to do it with a great bunch of students here.
